Jeana (지나) is currently working towards her diploma in Tourism Studies. Since culture is related to tourism, she thought this would be a great way to show her interests!
When Jeana first came to Canada, she was surprised by how others reacted to things about in her culture. This led to Jeana wanting to show people more exciting parts of Korean culture, so it was not so surprising anymore.
Since coming to Kamloops, she has been able to make friends from all different parts of the world. Many of them had different ideas of what life was like in Korea, so Jeana wanted to be able to show them a native Korean’s perspective.
Jeana created this blog to be able to introduce to others interesting cultural things from Korea that foreigners would not have been able to know about before. She wants to give them a bit of a cultural shock but in a good way!
Jeana’s website will stand out from other Korean culture blogs since her nationality is Korean, and she is focusing on presenting it from her native perspective. Lots of other Korean culture blogs are from the perspective of a foreigner. They have either visited or are currently living in Korea.
She hopes that you will also come to love Korean culture as much as she does during your time following the blog! 고맙습니다!
